This post is all about one man... TURBO! I'm having an absolute BLAST watching recent footage of him. I was not lucky enough to be a Lucha fan (or even 10 years old yet) back when Skayde was working as a young kid trying to make a name for himself while still trying to show he could take it to the mat if need be but I'd have to assume the Turbo of today is much like the Skayde of 1991 - 1994. It's so much fun to watch him every time he enters the ring b/c you're always waiting to see when he will explode and do something you've never seen before. It doesn't even have to be a huge double rotation satellite headscissors or anything like that... just a simple fast armdrag and kip-up out of a nice takedown... it's a thing of beauty! Of course when he does kick it into fifth gear - it's quite the sight! Some of his headscissors variations are just off the charts and you'd think only a mini would be able to pull it off. He's also great at selling his opponent's moves and making them look like death.

I've said it before but I have to say it again... it's a HUGE SHAME that he bombed in Dragon Gate appearences. If he had gone over and worked his normal style instead of trying to be the guy who always did the most spectacular spot on the night, he'd still be over there tearing it up as the new greatest high flyer. I wonder if he even tried to show off his mat skills at any point in his tour?

Trust me folks - this guy is something special! It's only a matter of time before he starts getting recognized by AAA and CMLL and finally decides to make the leap. He'd be great in CMLL but his size would definitely keep him down on the cards. He'd fit perfectly in AAA. No matter where he ends... this guy will be something big one day!

Since this will be my last update for a while(maybe...) - here is a special treat for those that have to suffer through my thoughts and opinions:

3 AULL matches involving Turbo! Sorry for the average quality but trust me - you ain't gonna ever find this stuff in better quality so take advantage of what you can get.;) Go ahead and download, feel free to comment on the greatness that is Turbo and of courses say thanks to Chui!

TURBO/Misterio/Nick La Muerte vs Violento/Sepulturero/Psicopata:

TURBO/Nick La Muerte/Juan El Ranchero vs Black Thunder/Corsario/Militar Jr.:

TURBO/Misterio/Angel Azteca Jr. vs Violento/Cerebro Negro/Black Thunder:

Tons of new footage coming my way but not sure when I'll have time to update this thing and if I do find time, I may be restricted to only providing quick comments. Rest assured I'll try and catch up as soon as I am able to.

Also, for those of you who like reading about the history of Lucha Libre, here is a link to a DVDVR thread I created which basically summarizes every major happening in Mexico during 1991:

Talk to you guys soon hopefully!
