5 reasons to be a happy Lucha Libre fan this past weekend...
1. Daga vs Suicida from the IWL iPPV. You can order it at www.gofightlive.com. Amazing MOTYC!
2. Turbo vs Black Thunder from the Lucha Libre Expo aired on PdM TV (and can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fL08-AAaV60). Fantastic match with the only negative being the disrespectful crowd.
3. Drago's performance on AAA TV (which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dseiTHeTs8). A one-man show the likes of which hasn't been seen in a trios match since... Drago's debut! He was on FIRE hitting some incredible moves and coming off as a total star. It's a shame more people in Mexico don't give this guy the respect he deserves.
4. CMLL finally had a very good overall TV show for the first time in a loooooooooong time this past Saturday! The opener was surprisingly good, the lightning match was very good and the top two matches advanced storylines and had good action. A huge step up from the recent shortened 1 hour shows or 90 minute shows that only had 1 or 2 very edited matches. 5. The first video footage of Aero Star, Rocky Marvin and Jack Evans from NOAH made it's way onto the internet and they all came through with flying colors. I was afraid Rocky Marvin in particular would have a tough time adapting to the more physical Japanese style but he hung in there quite nicely and had a really good match with his brother against Team Osaka Pro. Meanwhile on the undercard Aero Star and Jack Evans took part in a short 6 man tag spotfest that the crowd seemed to love. Both matches can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/Bootaaay
