CMLL on Galavision U.S. 6/11/2005 (taped 5 months beforehand):
Torneo Cibernetico: Way too many replays for my liking. There was just no flow at all when every few seconds they'd repeat a spot you just saw. For as awesome a worker as Felino is, he sure loves to end his matches with one move instead of having some build. In that sense, Negro is better than him. You'll never hear me say that again so make a note.
Sagrado/Alan Stone/Volador Jr. vs Mr. Mexico/Arkangel/Sangre Azteca: Awesome match. I already talked about it elsewhere but you really need to go out of your way to see it if you love fun high-flying lucha matches. Azteca's dropkick to Volador Jr. in the first fall was S-I-C-K!
Momentos was a repeat. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Negro Casas/Brazo De Plata/Super Parka vs Black Tiger/Shigeo Okumura/Damian El Terrible: Not good...not bad...just average. Tiger and Negro worked a couple of nice really fast spots together. So fast in fact that they ended up blowing the move to finish the sequence but shit happens. Super Parka really wasn't going all out as I thought he would to impress the crowd in his first appearence at Arena Coliseo without a mask since his Remo Banda days. Terrible will be a star one day.
Atlantis/Blue Panther/Mistico vs Tarzan Boy/Rey Bucanero/Olimpico: Great match. Just a notch below the second match or it would have been match of the show. Mistico's second fall work was AWESOME. Everyone should be enjoying what this guy does unless you're one of those "it's cool to dislike Mistico" people. There really is only one difference between Atlantis and Octagon. They're both lazy bastards who are getting by based on their early 90's reputation. The difference is Atlantis will work hard when he's in a big feud or big match whereas Octagon refuses to work hard no matter what the situation. I only mention that b/c I hated that first fall finish where Atlantis does 2 moves and then puts on the Atlantida. Third fall was fun with them teasing the La Mistica finish once and then actually doing it a few seconds later. I'm still not sold on Olimpico as a top rudo. Or top anything for that matter. He seems like he'd be a better fit in the trios titles picture teaming with Dr. X and Nitro with Sangre Azteca getting promoted to being the 4th highest GDI.
